So, I am sure this is possible but do not know how and I could be wrong.
I have a webcam and a morse code keyer and for morse code class I can just use the keyer and let the mic pick up the sound however this has proved to be fairly unreliable as when working a high WPM the webcam mic does not clearly differentiate the dits and dahs. This seems to be a common problem with everyone's set ups to a lesser or greater extent.
So, I have discovered my keyer has a line out so I have connected it straight into the mic input on my soundcard and hey - brilliant, perfect morse audio. However, whenever I want to talk to my class I have to use the control panel to swap between my line-in input and my webcam mic so a little inconvenient.
Is there a way to have both the webcam and line-in inputs work concurrently so I can send morse and speak at the same time. I could easily do it with an external mixer of some sort but is there a software option (preferably free)?

Is the webcam USB, or does it have a mic plug aswell?
must be possible, you just need to mix the two inputs. I can tell you how to do it on a Mac, the feature is part of the OS of course 😎 (Aggregate Audio Device) - possibly you'll need some 3rd party software with Windoze? 😉 (something like this? https://www.swee****er.com/sweetcare/articles/aggregate-audio-devices-and-drivers-for-pc-and-mac/ )

Webcam is USB, keyer is phono in...
this should allow you to combine the two streams so you can have a single output and remove the need to swap

If those programs don't work, then a small audio interface like this should do the job:

OBS https://obsproject.com/ is very handy for this - can take different audio/video inputs and mix them together.
Follow this but rather than the sounds, just have your different audio inputs for mic and morse sounder, sending to a mixed output which you pick in Teams/Zoom/whatever. https://blog.thoughtstuff.co.uk/2021/06/how-to-create-a-microsoft-teams-soundboard-using-obs/
