I thought you were convinced Scotland would top the group - not a gamble if its a sure thing... ๐Ÿ˜›

What's your designated charity then?

no I am not biased against england, the only one who comes close is AA

What have I done now, I dont follow your train of thought. Can I be clear and say I want england to loose to everyone apart from maybe SA and whilst I like players like Wilkicksoon and Jason Robinson I ****in loath strutting cocks like Dilly Dally and Haskall.

NZCol, what's the local opinion of Aaron Cruden? His last few games seemed rather good?

I think Aron Cruden had a storming season, he may have a crap hair cut but I'm well pleasend he's coming to play for the Cheifs next year.

Although the ABs thrashed Japan last night I really enjoyed the commitment that Japan showed, certainly not scared to make a tackle. It was also refreshing to see them kick to touch from their penilties. Granted they could have had another 9 points on the board but they obviously wanted the kudos of scoting a try.

Hardly. They are of course the best team with the most handsome players but cheating argies and Georgians might get in the way.

In all seriousness Robinsons tenure as scottish coach will be judged on the next two or three games. He has had what he wanted pretty much in terms of preparation and it was largely his call to have only the two warm up matches and use the first two group matches to hone the team. Everyone has had some game time and he must know has selections now

Selection was his downfall with England in part - less to select from with Scotland but he does look in danger of making some wrong calls and being too conservative.

I think Laidlaw should have been in the team and I fear he will pick Parks not Jackson. Back row is a difficult call as well.

Captain - Kellock appears to be the best captain but I don't think he is the best lock

Just to disagree with O'Flashearty, Australia, but by not as many as he'd like ๐Ÿ™‚

Oh, and SA to beat Fiji. Easily.

Cruden had a fantastic itm cup just prior to RWC for the manawatu turbos and I was surprised he wasn't in the squad. General consensus was he wasn't up there on the bigger stage yet a la Stephen Donald. He's grown his hair back now, bear in mind he has recently recovered from testicular cancer. Good player, just a bit wee as well so gets pushed off the ball a bit.

Great atmosphere in Wellington this eve for the SA Fiji game. Pubs are packed, probably more Fiji supporters than SA. Should be a good one

Any money on Moody getting injured during this game and missing the rest of the WC?

I was totally expecting to be up with the baby at 4am and watching the first game, but got woken up at 7.30, so only caught the last 40 minutes of the Fiji game.

It's such a shame that they persist in playing 7s style rugby when they are playing 15s. They make great moves but there is no organisation to follow it up. SA looked tidy enough. Glad to see Burger dropped on his head. It should happen more often.

Anyway, I've got complete confidence in Ireland. Let's get the 2nd rows lying on the ball, back row in from the side. It's allowed in this game. C'mon guys, you can up your game, and history shows you are good enough to beat Australia..... And please gods of rugby, there's no reason to give us another turgid game - these are two entertaining sides.

Lucky penalty. PO'C didn't exactly roll way.

And Sexton misses again. ๐Ÿ™„

Does anyone reckon these balls have been made specially to force teams to score tries, as they can't rely on kicks????

Not looking too bad from the green machine. I'm with O'Flashearty in loving drop goals. Still see Australia getting back into it and scoring tries though.

The tactic of holding the opposition up has resulted in two turnovers so far. ๐Ÿ˜ฏ

Wonder which of the 'home' Nations will be the first to go out of the tournament?
