Not bike components this time. Wife ordered some moisturiser & stuff from a cosmetics comapny. It takes a month to arrive beacuse RM intercepted it as it contained items which 'resembled certain items classified as dangerous goods which are prohibited from the post'= 100ml of cleanse & polish containing Rosemary, Chamomile, cocoa butter and euchayptus oil. All in a box marked as being from a cosmetics company
Are they seriously trying to run a business delivering goods & merchandise? It seems to me that someone in Royal Mail has gone [i][b]way[/b][/i] OTT on this.
At least they didn't destroy* it!

I tried to send a jiffy back back to a company with a faulty camera inside, first i had to declare what was in it, sex toy, not even a titter off the woman behind counter, who looked like she could enjoy one, she then refused to send it because i had stapled the top, seems as if staples can injure the machinery, so back home took staples out resealed with tear proof tape, the type with string embedded in it, and just sent it back via a post box,with a large aperture.
How do Royal Mail know what's in the parcels, do they X-ray them or something. I sent a coue of co2 cartridges last week, they appeared to have got through their stringent process.
Oh and our delivery office opens at 07.00hrs, till 13.00, our mail is delivered at 12.30, but you cant pick up missed items till next day,and even if you chase postman he is not allowed to hand over parcels or letters on the street.
Then there is the local post ofice, shuts wednesday afternoon, shuts for dinner 13.00 till 14.00 and again on saturday at 13.00.
Seriously wonder if they know how to run a buissness
I was told that the new excitement about what's in the box is down to them "possibly" flying mail very slowly from one part of the country to the other. It is certainly a baffling performance.
I got interrogated about the rechargeable light I posted the other day.
"Is it a lithium battery?"
"Dunno"
"We have to declare it if it's a lithium battery"
"Well it's only about this big" (holds fingers half inch apart)
"Oh ok"
