Words fail me.
They were interviewing the squirrel-eating shit-kickers on Channel 4 news last night. Terrifying. Global warming is all a liberal conspiracy apaprently. We need to close down the windfarms and dig up more coal!
If it wasnt genuine it'd be quite funny :-/
"I want change"
"What would you like changed?"
"I don't know, but I want some change!"
FFS.
To be fair, its difficult to interview a dozen people on camera in the states without tripping over a couple of loons, regardless of political persuasion.
regardless, the biggest mistake of the Republican party was failing to select the most electable presidential candidate they've had in decades
what a horrible winker she really is.
hehehhe The huffington post has about as much credability for unbiased reporting as the Guardian.

And your point is...?
Are you suggesting that somehow Romneys supporters are simply misunderstood?
I'd suggest they fall into 2 catagories
1) Rich people voting for the person whole protect their interests, almost exclusively, with tax cuts and no handouts/healthcare/anything for scoungers/anyone who's not a member of the same country club as me
2) Really, really, really, incredibly, mind-blowingly, stupendously, unimaginably thick people
Horrible winker or not. Milf of the highest order.

I believe our new energy minister thinks this way too. 🙄
A friend sent this to me about the influence of money in the USA election, I found it quite interesting.

Slight edit, Binners. 😉
And your point is...?
My point being that the huff is simply liberal garbage, not dissimilar to the guardian/bbc and whose opinions and 'news' have to be taken with a very large pinch of salt.
Ah yes... the famous liberal media conspiracy. Yes... Whats needed is some honest, independent non-biased reporting of the facts
Fox 'News' anyone?

Can you tell me what your unbiased source of news is please?
EDIT -
Forgot 😆 but that pretty much goes without saying.
Made me giggle
Can you tell me what your unbiased source of news is please?
Does such a thing exist? I dont think it does. But the Huff/guardian/bbc's political agenda is pretty well documented.

The Huff may have an agenda but it's the people they are interviewing who are talking garbage.
But the Huff/guardian/bbc's political adgenda is pretty well documented.
The Guardian yes, from their website.
The Manchester Guardian was founded by John Edward Taylor in 1821, and was first published on May 5 of that year. The paper's intention was the promotion of the liberal interest in the aftermath of the Peterloo Massacre and the growing campaign to repeal the Corn Laws that flourished in Manchester during this period.
It's gone downhill recently IMO but there is still some decent quality journalism that goes on there. Let's not forget it was their dogged pursuit of NOTW etc and phone hacking that has lead to some people getting deserved bloody noses and potentially striking a pretty decent blow for accountability in government and the press etc.
Don't know much about the Huffington Post TBH.
I wish the BBC did have the lefty agenda it's always being accused of, but I've seen absolutely zero evidence of it. And it currently has a Tory in charge BTW.
Does such a thing exist? I dont think it does
So you're quite happy with right-wing garbage, just not liberal garbage?
Pay attention at the back!
The video was produced by New Left Media.
If you check out their other films you may discern on which side of the political fence they sit.
I knew it was those pesky Buddhists!
The BBC? Left wing? With Nick Robinson as their political editor?
😆
(IMO it's either rampantly left wing or disgustingly right wing depending on your own political skew)
There was a bloke up the pub last night saying that if you want the definitive text on the state of America today, read Gibbon's Decline and Fall of the Roman Empire. But as I've just looked on Amazon and noticed it's 6 volumes long, I'll take his word for it.

Its gone vertical grum.
Ive been a subscriber for over ten years (I kid you not! 😉 ) and finally got fed up. I could stomach the hypocritical screechy preaching from the likes of Monbiot and Toynbee et al while there was balanced, intelligent journalism on the non-op-ed pieces but theyve abandoned the journalism so much now that it's just not a very good newspaper anymore. They're broke, not getting bankrolled by labour govmt job adverts and vain Mr Rusbridger signed them up to a very expensive lease on their new offices.
So subscription cancelled.
And there's not that many of us subscribers in the first place.
So we now have the i daily during the week just for coffee reading. The Economist, The Spectator, Private Eye and Prospect for in-depth. We still have the saturday guardian because there's nothing I like reading on sundays but I can make it stretch through the weekend.
And I wouldnt touch the HuffPo with long red flag.
Sure, the Huff's biased, but it's not like they invented these comments is it?

No, but they might have selectively edited out the intelligent comments. Which may (or may not) have been the majority.

My In-laws who just voted Romney. Haven't decided how I feel about it. If I could vote here it wouldn't have been for Romney.
Oh, it's definitely selectively edited for comedy effect. But have a look at the videos where Romney himself explains Mormonism - the bit where he says that the world needs a final war to sort everything out would be funny if it wasn't coming from a bloke who might get his finger on the nuclear button.

Aye, to be fair I don't read it an awful lot these days - seems to have increasingly become (what lots of people slagged it off for being anyway) a kind of Daily Mail for lefties.
Their use of offshore tax havens seems like rank hypocrisy too.
mogrim - MemberNo, but they might have selectively edited out the intelligent comments. Which may (or may not) have been the majority.
If you're making a video of stupid comments, it'd be a bit foolish to include lots of clever ones, wouldn't it?
Binders of women. Lol.

Seen it, and he wasn't exactly advocating starting that war himself. And while I'm not a huge Romney fan, the fact that he's a practising Mormon isn't really any worse than any other religion, they're all weird from the outside.
If you're making a video of stupid comments, it'd be a bit foolish to include lots of clever ones, wouldn't it?
Definitely, but trying to pass it off as "news reporting" isn't exactly ethical to my mind.

^This^
Imagine lining up a bunch of Bucky-addled Weegies and then saying that they were somehow representative of the Scots? Etc. Etc. Etc.
But...they are.
But...they are.
I thought it was all deep-fried Mars bars and Irn Bru?
Fair point, Darcy, fair point. 😆
Balance?
Balance?
What? From you?
No, never seen it from you...unless you're trolling, to which you've admitted a few times to be fair.
Nah Darcy, If I was trolling I'd mention Lord Mcalpine 😯
Newsnight tonight, anyone?
😉
