Nothing like waking up at 4am to start nice and early on a holiday roadtrip 😀

Think I'm enjoying it more than the kids.

Because they had to get up at oh-dark O'clock presumably.

I love a road trip. Our kids never complained. They are grown up now and have inherited the same enjoyment of long car journeys.

My daughter can't be normal, we drove to Switzerland and back a couple of weeks ago. I didn't hear "I'm b***d" once and she got through 3 books on the way out, we took a chance and left her Chromebook at home and she didn't bat an eyelid. Absolutely awesome!

Yeah left at about 5am so not stupid early. Definitely glad we left early. Got to Tebay services for breakfast at 7.30am and straight in no queue. As we were leaving, the queue for food was out the door.

Stop at Stirling later for a walk round and some pizza, before getting to Crieff for 3pm.

Funniest part was going past the welcome to Scotland sign and the heavens literally opened, full wipers and slow down to 50 as visibility was crap. Thirty seconds later and it was all clear 🤣

How can you play that now when every car is a shade of grey?
