Evening all,

I have a small campervan that has a fold out bed; half of it is over some bench seating the other half flaps out and is supported by several boxes which works pretty well but when not in use the boxes are bulky and annoying to carry in the van alongside bikes etc.

I have been thing about making a flat pack version that I can store in the bench seating and then construct when required (I only sleep in the van a few nights a year so don't mind the hassle). I would need something like this:

Striplox

Or this

Right angle connector

Does anyone know of any alternatives or a UK source for the second type? I will need 8 connectors in total. I feel like I have seen the second sort advertised in the UK recently.

I've got a mate who uses the second one in his shop. I think he sells them too. In Leith if that's any good for you. Hang on and I'll point him at this thread.

I've seen those connectors I think on Instagram or Facebook or something. Pretty cool.

They have them on Amazon.

You could use something like a hinge with a removable pin. These are readily available at Toolstation etc.

^^^ They're 105 degree unfortunately. Do they have 90 degree? Cheaper too, although not sure what postage is.

Edit - Oh I see, the drop down menu does list 90 degree, but you can't see it until you've selected it.

You could of course simply countersink and screw them together if you don't find visible screws offensive, or use threaded inserts and bolts for a neater, more repeatable system.

Playwood, those are the ones. Gecko76 I will work out what I need and be in touch.

Thanks all. The other solutions are workable too but although quite a bit more £ I reckon the Playwood ones are worth it for this application.
