[Closed] Revolver - awful, isn't it?

Half an hour to go and I just can't take anymore.
One of the worst films I've seen for a very long time.

Did Guy Ritchie believe this pile of steaming dog toffee was in some way clever?
You really could wade through his deepest thoughts and not get your ankles wet.

Random violence, philosophy that would shame an 11 year old and more flashbacks than a Hawkwind audience.

Not even Ray Liotta's eyebrows or Vincente Pastore can save this - it's like watching a slow motion nervous breakdown.

And so to bed......

You need to wait on the credits apparently- it'll all make sense then!
Agree though- far too self indulgent!

Adam and Joe's crap commentary corner featured some of Guy Richie's explanations of the movie. Didn't make it any clearer

I remember quite liking it but that was probably in part because it wasn't as bad as I expected. In much the same way as an overhyped film can let you down..

I went to the Cinema to see it with 3 others... we all walked out after an hour... Truely bemused...

I generally avoid anything Guy Ritchie has been near. Do you mean to say he's made any film that ISN'T complete twaddle?

My point exactly...
All personal opinions but I thought those two films were embarrassing.
Never did understand why they were popular...

Snatch is just hysterical.... really is.

I think sometimes people watch movies more cynically than they should. Take things like Prometheus etc, always harping back to how the cinematography wasn't up to the one back in the 80's or how the plot didn't gel correctly...

Take movies for what they are....

Snatch has a great soundtrack, funny characters (if not taken too seriously) an amusing plot.... and a dog that squeaks.

I thought this was going to be about the Beatles.
It turns out to be about a film I've never heard of.
I shall put away my indignation.

Snatch and Lock Stock are superb. Snatch especially.

Revolver is poor but nothing compared to Rocknrolla (is that a Ritchie film)? Thats pure poo.

I stayed up trying to watch it last night (having given up the last time I tried) but again gave up with an hour to go. Its a proper stinker of a film.
