So why have I been paying it for weeks?
this is a rhetorical question, right?
So why have I been paying it for weeks?
Cause you’re one of the cool kids?
So cool I need no L in paying.

RE: My experience in raising kids. You have no idea Perchy. really none at all.
I would never make the mistake of thinking all kids are the same.
The issue in your predicament isn't your kids though.
So why have I been playing it for weeks?
Dunno. Because you have no kids?
Or was avoiding that question just poor communication skills?
My experience in raising kids. You have no idea Perchy. really none at all.
Correct. Just the same as you have no idea about anyone elses.
I’m not the one criticising others parenting choices though.
I'm not the one who has no respect from a pre pubescent child.
your "choices"clearly aren't working out for you.
But I hear you get banned here for repeating your point of view, even if it's correct.
So I'll leave you to it.
My PS4 is off now BTW

My kids are too young at five and 15 months respectively, but I used to have to step in and help my mum with my younger brother (big age gap). The constant threat of me wiping all his game saves if he didn’t do as asked by his mum did the trick.
Games can be just as artistic, thought provoking or rubbish as any other medium. The fact they are demonised by some is odd. My eldest plays the switch with supervision. Mario Kart is brilliant with him. He’s not getting anywhere near Zelda though, that’s daddy’s game .
I’m not the one who has no respect from a pre pubescent child.
Imagine that! It’s almost like the little tyke is a real actual person.
I wonder why my other two kids aren’t like that?
Maybe I’m not their real Dad?
Problem I have is that the junior crack that Fortnite is, unlike say Fifa there are no obvious breaks / countdowns / endings. Kids are crap at self governance so if you tell them ‘five minutes’ then at the end of five/ten/however many minutes they won’t walk away and then it’ll be ‘just doing this, just got to get there, just got to get killed, just found a massive gun’ bollocks that means confrontation as you insist or enforce that time is up. Ours has just been giving us a hard time related I believe to us getting tough on self-governance so for this weekend and probably into next week, there are just a collection of wires where the Xbox normally is. No pudding.
Agree with what a few others have said - Fortnite seems pretty healthy with the time-demands, each game is rel short and then it's pretty much startover. My lad (10yo) was heavily into it a couple of seasons back but it never got out of hand, he always seemed to naturally just want to stop playing after an hour or so. WHereas the sort of RPG-type games I like to play can be massive time sinks, huge.
A way bigger issue for us is him watching people play fornite and other games, ie youtube vids or twitch which he would happily stare at for a six hour block if we didn't intervene. I appreciate it's a kind of modern telly thats 1000 times better than what we grew up with, but Damn if he doesn't turn into an immovable boulder watching that stuff.
Yeah I mean – I get that, but the thread is talking about 10 year old kids, right? So unless you’ve got an adventure course in your living room, or happy to have your 10 year old running around in the street… it’s not like reading a book or playing with a non-digital toy is any more physically demanding, right?
No, I'm fortunate enough that my 12 year old daughter enjoys spending time with us.
We'll go a walk after dinner tonight, as it's a nice night, good time to talk and find out what she's been up to.
Tomoro we'll go to park run together, have a nice family meal as ever, watch a movie together, and Sunday if this weather forecast is wrong we'll go hillwalking 😊
I'm not for a minute saying I'm right n you're wrong, it's just that I'm increasingly aware she won't be a child for much longer, so Im bloody I'm not going to waste that precious time looking at the back of her head.
Dunno. Because you have no kids?
Or was avoiding that question just poor communication skills?
I'll make it simple.
It came out almost 4 weeks ago.
Thanks. No idea why I thought Apex Legends was start of March release. Probably because I don't care.
Seeing as you won't answer I'm going to asume you have no pre-teen child.
Correct me (again) if my assumption is wrong.

You asked if I had kids who played Fortnite, I told you no.
I have 1 who is a pre-teen and one who is a teen. Only one plays on consoles sometimes more than I'd like other times not at all.

Ah, so your pair are on dodgy YouTube, porn and Snapchat to mates instead.
Yeah it's all about Moomoo porn.
Moomoo porn

Well it's justified and possibly ancient.
But I hear you get banned here for repeating your point of view, even if it’s correct.

Probably wise. I'd rein in your attitude if I were you, unless you want your 67th life ban.
Not much to add that hasn't been said but like Nobeer I try to enjoy the time I have with my daughter before she turns into a complete shitbag like I did. There is definitely a difference between dealing with pre-pubescents and hormonal maniacs though.

I heard he said you should shut up and get over it.
*whispers*cockpunch,cockpunch,cockpunch....*whispers*
Ban me if you want Cougar.
Pretty odd decision when you yourself have taken pretty much the same stance as me throughout this thread.
