I've got about 10 old laptop batteries in work that I need to get rid of, does anyone know of any companies that will recycle them or dispose of them safely

Ten? Sling 'em in the boot and take 'em to your nearest [s]tip[/s] recycling centre?

City Electrical Factors all have WEEEE recycling facilities.

Most electrical shops can take them for recycling.
