Other than that - requirements as follows:-
* going at some point in October
* Europe or very close to it (i.e. served by cheap airlines)
* warm
* ideally near large hills/mountains
* near the coast or a thumping big lake would be ideal
* remoteish areas ideal
sooo, what can you recommend? Where have you been????? reccomends for general areas and or specific places to stay. Think budget rather than boutique, there's a house to save for. And the CX bike build 🙂

we did lanza last year, but Tenerife is kinda attracting me a little. have been meaning to go to croatia for ages - have you been in october??

round lovran, you got hills, italy nearby and slovenia/lake bled an easy drive away.
good beaches are non existant but otherwise a lovely destination.
Basque country, watch La Vuelta over the next two days to get an idea of the riding.
+1 Canary Islands or mainland Spain [url= http://www.turismoderonda.es/ ]Ronda[/url] is quite beautiful and not too far from the sea and from what I remember quite hilly.
Get near to some of the lakes (resevoirs) in the Sierras of Madrid, some great riding, close to the city, lakes and generally good weather in October (better than here - in August!).
