What have you bought that's been recommended on the forum, and was it any good?

Bike related and non-bike stuff.

following the tread on alcohol free beers I remembered St Peters 'Without' getting mention so ordered some with a meal at the weekend. Then immediately realised it had been mentioned as a recommendation but in the context of it being ****ing awful. Its not just a bad example of beer - its a bad example of liquid.

I normally like to make my own decisions, however poor they may be. I seek out good value rather than the "best" label, or just spending big for the sake of it.. (eg. double figures for bike bells! expensive mudguards!)

But I'd like to thank the forum for...

Most recently Schwalbe tyre levers

Big purchase - Tripster ATR

Generally - Magic Mary tyres (sooo good)

Aeropress: Meh

Yep, lies unused in my desk drawer at work, if I could be arsed to post it, I'd give it away for free...

Over the years, had some good recommendations on here -

Rock n Roll extreme

Gaggia classic

Luftkappe

All my Cotics - one day I'll buy another

Madison shorts

Decathlon for pretty much every other bit of outdoor clothing I now buy
