....that won't cost the earth, to go on holiday for Christmas with the family.

We aren't well travelled, so looking for suggestions.

The Canaries are hard to beat for climate and cost in Winter

Loads to go at depending on what you want out of it

Crude to ask, but budget?

Tunisia is an astonishing country, and one that I need to go back to at some point. Friends say the same of Morocco, as well.

Madeira is nice - very quiet though, closes down about half nine.
Bit like the Isle of Wight with better weather.
And a dead volcano.

Loads of good walking if you're into that.
You can get some bargains too this time of year.

Quite a decent budget.

Al Bustan Palace Hotel Oman, really interesting country, rest and relaxation around the pool and/or snorkelling, desert dune driving, wadi trips, mosque tour and souk wandering. Had a very nice holidaybthere with my family (2 daighters) andors now been rennovated (it was excellent before). Without wishing to appear too obnoxious to the prior posted if you are well travelled you'll want to avoid Dubai.

you'll want to avoid Dubai, regardless.

Oman? Good call. Rather fancy going out there, some interesting recent history I'd like to look in to.

Charming. Tucson, Arizona fits all of the stipulated criteria - plus they have a Christmas Gun Show - what more could you ask for?

Jambalaya I've been to the Al bustan it's insane isn't it! The private beach attached to it! I wouldn't go all inclusive for £750 I reckon you will get something crap for that money, better off spending less booking apartment and then spending money eating out or something.

Canaries
Southern Spain
morocco

I wouldn't go to Dubai horrible fake places full of shops.

Long way to fly for a week!
Oh forgot Thailand although flights there are probably £500 each and again not for a week but a phenomenal country and so cheap once out there.

or Egypt has good winter sun just don't scrimp on the all inclusive it isn't worth it.
