Off for a blast round Sutton park after work, and the weather is grey and miserable, so I'm looking for some new music to liven things up.
I've got spotify so can get most music out there, but always come back to the same two megadeth albums.
So whats gonna make me ride faster? (especially as solo night rides always give me the willies)
Slayer's Reign In Blood, South of Heaven and Seasons In The Abyss are among my faves. Decade of Aggression Live is a good one too
Currently working my way through the Suicidal Tendencies back catalogue *again*. More fantastic tunes. Hate Metallica for poaching Rob Trujillo
when the levee breaks?
seriously any led zep will do
Rise Against is a good riding band for me as they are on almost every bike movie soundtrack ever!
Look up Hellyeah or Black Spiders or of course for riding in built up industrial areas Rammstein
Back in Black - AC/DC strikes a good solid metronomic beat.. Ideally I'd say something at about 60-90bpm
I flippin love Sutton park.
This is an easy one;
Iron maiden's can i play madness, aces high, etc
Anything by cradle of filth, system of a down, slipknot etc.
'Maiden's Phantom of the Opera (remember daley?) Wrathchild or No of the Beast.
Slash - Anastasia, Dr Death (feat.Lemmy)
Old school Linkin Park used to motivate me in the car pre ride.
Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band innit.. and Led Zeppelin II
Or try something moder?. How about some Dance Gavin Dance?
The Mars Volta ,Celtic Frost,Opeth,to put the Beejesus into a dark solo ride.Or for just pure speed Death Angel
Mortdelamer Searching For Safety
QOTSA No One Knows
Deep Purple Fireball
Pantera - Vulgar Display Of Power
Fear Factory - Demanufacture, or Remanufacture.
White Zombie - astrocreep 2000
Celtic Frost are a chirpy little outfit aren't they.. ๐ฏ
listening to Monster Magnet's Spine of God at the moment, that should do you.
Led Zep, Nickleback, Rolling Stone, throw in some Floyd, Anastacia and rock out ๐
Not quite head banging stuff but Jane's Addiction do some fast snappy tracks and it's different?
"November Rain"?
IGMC
Y & T Black Tiger.
Anything by Knuckledust!!!
Led Zep, Nickleback, Rolling Stone, throw in some Floyd, Anastacia and rock out
Those two? Seriously? ๐ฏ
Gang Of Four To Hell With Poverty, At Home He's A Tourist
Pretty Girls Make Graves This Is Our Emergency
Curve I Feel Love
Krokus..Rock city.
Samson..Riding with the Angels.
Blackfoot..Good Morning.

Just got in from a very wet ride, went for some slayer in the end, followed by focus - hocus pocus which had me pedalling like a maniac.
Going to have a browse later and put together a playlist
Wolfchant - A Pagan Storm ........... ๐
this thread is useless without the QUO
Sepultura -they play nice and fast, will get you pedalling quicker to keep up to the beat ๐
Megadeth Countdown to Extinction
How about some 80's Germanic metal? Warlock, Triumph & Agony album
Or some shredtastic guitar twiddling by Cacophony
Running In The Rain or Green & Grey - New Model Army
Rain - The Cult
Black Planet - The Sisters Of Mercy
Riders On The Storm - The Doors
More punk-lite than rock, but the recent Green Day albums: Uno and Dos are very chirpy and bopping around to them is brightening my winter.
Amon Amarth-Twilight of the thundergod. Or any early Motorhead.
Black Rain - Killing Joke
Frenzal Rhomb.
Bad Brains just released a new album. NOFX, Propagandhi, Snuff...
A playlist of....
Angel of Death by Slayer
Leper Messiah by 'Tallica
Fight Fire with Fire by 'Tallica
Damage Inc by 'Tallica
F*cking Hostile by Pantera
Cowboys from Hell by Pantera
P*ss Christ by Fear Factory
Edgecrusher by Fear Factory
Twilight of the Thunder God by Amon Armoth
Left Behind by Slipknot
SIC by Slioknot
Alive or Just Breathing by Killswitch Engage
Darkest Nights by As I Lay Dying
94 Hours by As I Lay Dying
That should get you prepping fast!
my 'going for broke' playlist includes many of the above plus:
new Stone Sour album
Disturbed - gotta have a down with the sickness moment! ๐
Rammstein
Drowning Pool
Rob Zombie
Staind
Static X
Hurt
and Five Finger Death Punch
actually some good classic suggestions further up, loving the Y&T, Blackfoot and Deep Purple suggestions, might stick these on the ipod now... perfect for writing my weekly status report!
You could also try some good old cheesey c*ck rock....I'm quite partial to a bit of Poison, Motley Crue, Skid Row, Wasp and Ratt!
6Music' RadMac played a track this afternoon that had me grinning and head banging at my computer that ought to be on any 'fast' playlist:
TUUUUUUUUUUNE!
