I've seen some great anime over the years, but recently I tried to find a series to watch and couldn't really get into any of the ones I tried. I couldn't get on with FMA brotherhood, Berserk or Neon Genesis Evangelion.
Some of my favourites are Ninja Scroll, Vampire hunter D, Ghost in the shell, Spirited away.
In terms of series, I'm a fan of Cowboy Bebop, Ghost in the shell SAC and Death Note.
It needs to have a great story and not too cheesy voice overs/acting.
Anything that is a must see?

Mmmm im currently watching attack on Titan and it doesn't seem to bad so far ......ie gone off on some weirdness 🙂

Completely not what the OP asked, but that made me think of Titan AE which is the best animated movie no-one's ever heard of. Don Bluth and Joss Whedon, what's not to like.

Of, and isn't Spirited Away just a brilliant film. Those little soot balls are just fantastic!

We've got this from Studio Ghibli; great little film but it's in French or Japanese only.

Last thing I watched was The Legend of the 4 Kings, on channel four over 12 or so episodes in early 2000s
Initial D if you like cars. 5th stage and Final stage are awesome
