Morning all,

After almost 20 years of odd jobs my Woolworths rotary tool appears to have finally died ☹️ All is not lost though as this means I get to buy a new to(y)ol. Question is which one? Is a Dremel necessarily worth paying the extra for compared to some of the generic brands? Ideally sub £50 budget wise.
TIA

I have a Woolworths one too. Wanted a cordless so got the Dremel when it was on special at Amazon. Well worth it. Very good quality and decent power. Can't say how it compares to the Lidl specials and the like but you do pay a premium for the brand. Proper branded accessories are well overpriced. I'd definitely go cordless, that really enhances the usefulness

Will a cordless work after a few years?
When you need it on some job one evening?

Of course it will. Battery technology has moved on.

I think I might have one in a box somewhere in my cellar that I don’t need anymore. I’ll have a look over the weekend if you are interested.
