Shortly about to head off into the shops to get one for the holiday photos....thought I would ask before I do.

Any suggestions. Currently have olympus miu725SW. Quite happy to go larger and with faster start up and reshoot. Will still keep the miu for chucking in camelback.

Canon Ixus, dead simple, nice big screen, exposures are spot on and always nice and sharp, fits in your back pocket.

another vote for ixus. Stay away from Ricoh, mine has been terrible - been back for servicing three times and still goes wrong!

The GR range might be ok as it's a step up, mine's a (turns round to to check) Caplio R7. Rubbish. Lens detached from motor, focussing rubbish, switches itself off randomly...
