simple really, made out of decent wood with hinges that arent plated with tin foil and one that stays put and doesnt wander around when you sit on it.

B&Q offerings are the pits, even the more expensive ones so who sells decent ones?

I've got a Vivienne Westwood one that's really on trend at the moment. It's black and has a squiggly bit cut out of it rather than a hole. Looks fantastic and guests says they love s(h)itting on it.

If you're just fed up with it slipping you need some of these with the seat of your choice.

As luck would have it i work for Toilet Seat Monthly and we've just completed our review of 2013 with the Shyte-a-max RoscoFaecoltrane Turbo Extreme coming out on top, I'd go for that.

Been looking ages for one of the three piece wooden bog seats that used to be available.

Much better design and suits my bowl/cistern arrangement

Seriously this is a thread only worth or the gentry STW attracts!

House is fine Jakkyl, moved a week ago, just having trauma with the loo seats thats all, pushing me toward the edge, might have to move again!

pushing me toward the edge

There's nothing worse than that 12mm drop you get as the 'feet' on a toilet seat slide off the edge of the porcelain. It's like you're falling 40 feet.

Maybe it's the fear of trappage that adds to the effect.
