Anyone got any suggestions? I'm not too fussed about FM radio gadgetry, I can sync music to my bluetooth headset.

Anyone got any suggestions for a solid holder/charger combo? Seems like a minefield.

I have the Mini Arkon IPM515:

which mounts on the windscreen so I can use it as a Sat Nav.
Not really iPhone specific so it works with a case or with other phones.

With that I just use a Belkin charger:

Separate cable means I can charge anything that works off USB.

Thanks Graham looks pretty good. Anyone suggest a dash mounted holder? Like the idea of a simple cable charger.

The 'best' mounts are arguably the Brodit ones.

Second the Arkon. I had a Kingston windscreen mount for my iPhone, and it was crap, it wobbled all the time, when it actually stuck to the screen, that is, which was hardly at all. After hunting all over the 'net I found the Arkon mounts and thought I'd give one a try. They're brilliant, really solid, no wobbling, and stick really well to the screen, but super easy to take off. My phone's plugged into my Alpine head unit, but any aux charger unit should be ok.

The Arkon can be dash mounted. But it means sticking a self-adhesive disc to your dash (see the pic).
