Ive managed to smash my iPad Mini 4 screen rather badly - anyone have a place they can recommend where i'll get a quality replacement, but not pay an arm and a leg for it. Apple want £240!. Timpsons (yes the shoe people), want £200. Anyone got any better value suggestions that are reputable?

Apple almost certainly just give you a reconditioned iPad so if it's a bit battered or the battery life if falling might still be worth it.

Depends on the condition - at least for iPhones they'll charge more if they're giving you a refurb instead of replacing the screen.

I've used iMend for several iPhone repairs and they've been spot on...

The only place you'll get a genuine screen is with Apple though - anything else is a bit hit and miss. The 3rd party screens are usually a bit duller.

I've replaced loads of screens myself .from iPhones to MacBooks etc.... right up to iPad2...which I thought how hard can it be?

Complete disaster.... ended up breaking the screen more.

Deffo recommend paying someone to do it... who at least offers a warranty.

If it was me I'd be less bothered about the original OEM screen than a years warranty and I'd also get the battery changed whilst it's open.
