Might go camping tomorrow with the kids would like somewhere idyllic and not too far from Exeter, edge of Dartmoor somewhere? any recommendations?
I did think about walking a mile or so onto the moor and roughcamping somewhere so any spots you know of that are easy access.
Does not bike compatible as we will be driving..

Might be in the wrong place + a bit cold this time of year, but you get your own fire pit with each pitch. VERY secluded.

I would recommend South Breazle Farm, near Oakhampton (in the shaddow of Dartmoor). Very nice, small campsite with excellent facilities in a quiet, rural location, near Roadford Lake. (Went there in August and took our bikes.)

camped this weekend at Pool Bridge farm near Porlock. I know not strictly Devon, but not too far from Exeter and it was certainly idyllic, if basic. Deep in a valley, river through the site, camp fires permitted.... just perfect.
