Surely I'm not the only one?
My item came sealed in a delivery envelope protected.
Opened it and find it is covered in scratches and filthy.
Another shop sent me damaged tyres and claimed they were ok.
And the biggest mail order shop sent me £350 race shoes that were used and damaged.
Not of these were damaged in transit - that is what is annoying!
Ok I'll send it back and stick to LBS.
Sorry about the stupid rant.
Have a nice ride lol
It's never happened to me.
Name and shame.
Sound like you buy a lot so more likely to be unlucky. They were prob returns that never got checked and went back on the shelf. Happens, but its how they deal with it that is important.
£350 shoes !
How many do you get ?
Glad to hear it druidh, I hope it's a one off but I'll pay the extra and use my LBS.
I moved away from Bristol and miss the many amazing LBS who provide great service.
Lesson learnt!
If it costs me more - well it keeps LBS running and less ranting.
Probably right - returns unchecked.
I was buying one off race shoes - Wish I had money to burn but when I do make larger purchase I just expect them
to be perfect from the shop and only damaged in transit - which happens.
You spent £350 on shoes 😯
I hope they were Manolo Blahniks.
I once ordered a brand new Pure DAB radio from an Amazon market place. The item sent was a B grade refurbished item. Seller was dicking me about for a bit, so a e-mail via Amazon quoting Sale Of Goods Act and giving clear instruction about my expectations and next actions (said I'd go small claims court) saw a proper item turn up pronto. Interestingly it was one that the seller had bought from Amazon proper and sent to me as a 'gift', so the lying wotsit obviously never had any brand new ones to sell.
Lads..... I think we may have a girl amongst us 😉
The shoes were red, pink not in stock 🙁
Will use that if they mess me around.
All I ask is: Shops - treat your customer how you wish to be treated - we'll pass on the word and help you grow.
Ah well 🙂
There are legal issues around selling non-mint, i.e. previously sent out and returned items as new - just should happen.
BUT warehouse staff, aren't the best paid and are also not always the best at following process!
Good luck finding a decent LBS 🙂
That won't take speed play cleats chewkw!
I guess so Toby1 about low pay warehouse staff but it's no excuse - we all work hard and do our jobs right.
Well it's my mistake to save £££ - LBS here I come!
Bought this?
So it was £64 for the pair?
He only needed one as the other foot is in his mouth
Thanks for cheering me up!
Going for a ride.
Stay positive! 🙂
I'm not so sure I should have been shocked at £350 for shoes.
Now I've seen the ugliness that £32 buys, maybe £350 is a price worth paying 😐

😆 I was told Clarks should be avoided if I were to become babe magnet.
Oh ya ... I bought something over the internet from Taiwan and the bloody Royal Mail/custom is holding onto it for now. I think they are going to put 40% tax on it ... dammit. It's just a veg cleaver ...
