ESP = extra sensory that's not what I'm trying to consider,

cf.

a serious scientific probe into folk who can tell the future or have that 'sixth' sense, we definitely have this function and I've had it proven to me on a couple of occasions

Mike, I watched a documentary about a guy that could do that stuff. Daredevil, I think it was called. It's on Netflix.

I saw that too ๐Ÿ™‚ It proved that mind control is real too!

I can confirm, The Man Who Mistook His Wife for a Hat is excellent reading. I've always thought highly of cougar and singletrackworld in general, but more so now, that is a great recommendation for some of the posters in this thread! ๐Ÿ™‚

That realisation dawned on me a few years back. I started working with people who were actually very clever which brought into sharp contrast my own limitations.

However, I thinks a lot of intelligent people fall into the trap of thinking intelligence is its own reward. I'm thinking of some very clever guys at school who never really applied themselves and people of more limited intelligence who pushed themselves and achieved more.

The Man Who Mistook His Wife For A Hat.

Strong argument for wearing a helmet. At all times. Maybe remove for sleeping. If your bed is very soft.

On holiday a few years ago I was introduced to a dutch guy from a neighbouring villa. He was completely mad and an absolute riot. To look at you'd not think anything special dressed in badly fitting shorts, T-shirt and flip flops, overweight, drinking cheap beer and head banging to AC/DC.
Turned out he was a multi-millionaire, who had developed a formula that was incorporated into most banking investment software and multiple PHD's including economics and accountancy. I thought I was having my leg pulled at first until we started talking accountancy, my profession. It become clear just how intelligent he was with absolute understanding of accounting standards as well as tax laws for most of Europe, throwing out tit-bits of loop holes as if everyone knew them. I was absolutely awestruck.

To be like craigxxl's Dutchman you need both intelligence and application. I am confident I have enough of the former, but I don't have enough of the latter. I have all sorts of fantastic ideas in lots of areas, but don't see them through as I am too busy relaxing. Or coming up with new ones.
