I don't as a rule, and is why I never got people collecting DVD's
Caveat# there are some I'd watch again.
Vanishing Point
Jaws
Bullit
Where Eagles Dare
National Lampoon's Christmas vacation
Groundhog Day.
Edge of Tomorrow.
Curse you, I've just done that joke on the books thread.
Which, thinking about it, is a bit meta in itself.
Django unchained
Aliens
Die Hard (at Christmas)
Wolf of Wall Street
The Departed
But they come and go.
For me, it's my definition of a favourite film. Would I happily rewatch it if anyone said "hey, shall we watch...?" despite having seen it countless times / recently.
As per the other thread, I used to but not anymore. I've seen The Big Lebowski, Apocalypse Now and Weekend at Bernie's more times than I care to remember. OI'd sit and watch them if they were on, but wouldn't actively seek them out.
In my teens I pretty much knew all the dialogue from every scene in Robocop and Point Break ๐ณ
I'd watch Point Break again. Two cheesemeisters at their very best.
Most prevalent for me are
Magnolia
Boogie Nights
Mullholland Drive
12 Monkeys
Loads, but Predator is a cert, soon as it comes on I can't not watch. And First Blood.
Lately though most superhero films are all multiwatchable, I enjoy the brain off aspect as quite often I can't be bothered with anything too cerebral.
Taxi Driver
Pulp Fiction
Pulp Fiction. I'll watch it whenever it's on. I've got it on DVD and Blueray. But I'll still watch it on TV if it's on. If I catch it part way through I'll have to watch it to the end.
Others I'll watch repeatedly in no particular order:
Django Unchained.
Inglorious Basterds.
Shawshank.
Jaws.
Blade Runner.
Kingdom of Heaven.
Guilty secret: A Knight's Tale.
We want the finest wines available to humanity, we want them here and we want them now.
That's right we'll buy this place and install a ****ing jukebox to liven all you stiffs up a bit.
Bad Santa every Christmas eve when the kids are asleep, that's when chrimbo really starts...
Yes the finest film available to humanity was on some minor channel the other week, lower quality than my DVD but still got drawn into it.
Agree with Shawshank, First Blood, Pulp Fiction - also Django Unchained which I watched twice in a row.
Oh and that film that goes to 11.
I always wish I could unwatch Predator then watch it again for the first time.
Under seige
Last of the Mohicans
Leon
Groundhog Day.
Edge of Tomorrow.
Some films need rewatching to catch stuff you didnt quite get the first time (fight club, inception etc) Watched star wars that many times as a wee kid off a home recorded betamax that i wore the tape out
Jurassic Park
The first three Bournes
Quite a other, especially now on demand streaming is with us, cold and dark here now for winter and I've been watching some marvel stuff just to chill out to.
Jeykyl ๐
The big lebowski
Under the skin
Withnail and I
Interstellar
Dazed and confused
Dogtown and z-boys
In the loop
Moon
Apocalypse now
Deer hunter
Pulp fiction
Reservoir dogs
Ex machina
The only films I've bought and can quite happily watch again n' again
Big Lebowski, Star Wars, Aliens, Bladerunner. And VAST and Seasons I suppose. Ooh and Strange Days. It's still weird and compelling.
And every so often I get the music from Gladiator stuck in my head and eventually I have to watch the entire bloody film. Could be worse.
I suppose, highest accolade is seeing things twice or more in the cinema. All the original star wars films + force awakens, Bladerunner, Jurassic Park- and South Park!
Cougar - ModeratorFor me, it's my definition of a favourite film. Would I happily rewatch it
Top Gun
Ghostbusters, I&II
Goonies
Robocop.
I've found my happy time for movie goodness. 8)
the terminal
pulp fiction
the pirates of the caribbean
I have seen Heat quite a few times.
Hunt for the Wilderpeople quite clearly needs watching any time it shows up. ๐
the terminal
I struggled to watch that once.
Our Tivo's got a lot of stuff there just for those "too tired to think but want something to keep the eyes entertained" evenings - Bourne, Bond, Pirates Of The Caribbean, The Raid (more me than Mrs Pondo). My guilty secret is Happy Gilmore. ๐
Oh Brother Where Art Thou? Went to see it again the next night aware that I'd missed stuff because I'd still been laughing at the previous line. Should probably watch it again.
I watch films i enjoyed again all the time....
But i have also watched these two more than 100 times each
Life of Brian
The Matrix
I have seen Heat quite a few times.
Does the end ever get any better?
Seen Deadpool 3 times
rewatched Guardians of the Galaxy the other night
The Shining - will watch any time
One Flew Over the Cuckoos Nest - see it a few times and going to the cinema tomorrow to see it ๐
Near Dark & Miami Blues cos they're both fab.
Pulp Fiction
Debbie Does Dallas
When I was a kid I'd watch films over and over. Must have seen Goonies and the Karate Kid 50+ times. The Matrix got some hammer when I get that too.
These days I'll rewatch something if it's on, or if there's a sequel coming out or if we're just having a binge. I've watched most of the Avengers films more than once.
Princess Bride
Dirty Rotten Scoundrels
My Name Is Nobody
Sullivans Travels
Singing In The Rain
The Transporter
Can't re-watch Star Wars for some reason.
When I was a kid I'd watch films over and over.
Most kids do this - mine was obsessed with Monsters Inc when he was little. 3 times a day every day (it seemed!)

Yes, this one.
Plus The Big Lebowski
Dredd.
The Big Lebowski
Leon
Jaws
Life of Brian/Holy Grail.
In fact most earlier Coen Brothers and Luc Besson films stand up to repeated viewing.
Magnolia
Thin Red Line
The Matrix
LotR
The Big Lebowski
Mulholland Drive
and back 25 years ago, I think I saw Young Guns about 500+ times.
...earlier Coen Brothers...
'No Country for Old Men' isn't really "earlier", but I could watch that again anytime. And have watched it 3 or 4 times.
3 of my favourites to watch again have already been mentioned, Predator, Reservoir dogs & Pulp fiction.
My others are:
Gone in 60 seconds
The Crow
American pie

Opposite for me and I never get why people will only watch new films. Must suck as 99% of everything released after 2010 is utter garbage (made up stat ๐ ), not to mention a remake of everything that has ever been and probably a remake of the same film remade 5 years earlier.
As a result of this thread I am watching The Big Leweboski (or O Grande Lewbowski as it is on netflix for some reason) white russian in hand 8) (not j though unfortunately...)
Loads, but Predator is a cert, soon as it comes on I can't not watch. And First Blood.
First Blood is a quality movie that most people have never seen. It's the Terminator to T2, the Alien to Aliens. Good shout.
Under the skin
I watched this the other day, and thought it was bobbins. It's a Film Four outing and it's patently obvious even if you didn't know*, has no plot to speak of and its USP is that Scarlett Johansson gets her puppies out. It's essentially a b-movie Species.
(* - not that Film Four movies are inherently bad, I love plenty of them, but it wasn't exactly the Hollywood blockbuster I was expecting.)
as no plot to speak of and its USP is that Scarlett Johansson gets her puppies out
*adds to list of films to watch*
I get drawn in by 80's John Carpenter: Big trouble in little china ,The thing etc.

Escape From New York is one of my all-time favourites. I could watch it then immediately rewatch it.
"Snake Plissken... I've heard of you. I heard you were dead!"
groundhog day and lost in translation. They don't really have a plot just bill murray showboating for an hour and a half, thats always watchable.
blues brothers and trainspotting got some hammer as a student
i watched mad max and get carter as a double header once on TV far too young as a kid. blew my mind. can always watch those again.
watch roger rabbit 100 times and try and find fault with any of the animation, its an absolute masterpiece and all pre cgi.

Just finished it, as good as it was the first 10 times. Also got a bit keen on the white russians for a school night and run out of Kahlua ๐
