Magical place. In the 30s during the day, blinking chilly at night so plenty of layers.

I went in 2001 - amazing place. I expect its changed quite a bit now though. Where are you planning on going?
Went for the summer when I was at Uni, which basically meant doing everything as cheaply as possible, but that still meant staying in some reasonably okay hostels.
When we were there I think it reached mid to high 30s most of the time.
Things to take/wear - anything light really. But make sure you take with you things to cover shoulders etc in case you want to go into places where you need to be covered up.
I went to a wedding while there (actually it was in Delhi) and spent a lot of the next few days wearing the saree I'd bought as it was the coolest thing I had!
High points of the trip: Jodhpur, the fort at Jaipur, train journeys (no really), dinners in peoples houses, getting away from Mumbai.
Low points - being locked in the basement of a drug smuggling Indian man, but thats another story ๐Ÿ˜€
Hope you have an amazing trip
