Our local dribble is now a proper river and it's running totally clear.
It got me thinking that there must be at least one person who loves all this water.
Canoeists I'm looking at you.

You need water to brew beer.

Therefore, rain = good.

Are there any sports that are better in the rain? In a sort of 'oh it's raining, let's go and play/do....'

Nothing springs to mind?

When the amount of rain we are getting starts to piss off farmers, then you know it's getting a bit much.

Yebbut think of all the rich organic material and sediment that's being spread over their fields by the floods.

farmers are just programmed to moan, too much rain, not enough rain, we need larger government subsidies or FGS we will have to work

In my experience the default state of a farmer is pissed off, no matter what the weather is! Too wet to drill, to dry to drill, to windy to spray, not enough wind to dry the soil, too dry for the crops to grow, not enough sun for the crops to grow, too overcast to harvest, too damp to harvest... et cetera

EDIT- soobalias beat me to it!

Cheers,
Jamie

Eh? You need hot dry weather to appreciate a cold lager (for example on a Spanish beach), but cold wet weather is ideal for something with a bit more body and taste.
