!!!Type fast before the geeks clock off at five!!!

Say you have a product, and you shift loads of them on say; amazon/ebay.

You're currently building your own site to sell your product but it's taking ages so you've got a 'this website is being updated' page up.

Could I not just redirect somehow visitors to my domain to my ebay/amazon product page until the site gets done?

Seems logical on the one hand, on the other it could be seen as shifty/un-transparent?

Dunno?

Indeed.

Better to add a 'Our site is being worked on at the moment and will be brilliant, but you can still buy all our great things on our eBay shop' message and link on your current holding page.

Just set your domain to forward.

Or i would replace the holding page with a more useful one showing links to places your product is available.
