I often have to send off a series of post dated cheques for projects.
Twice this year they've been banked in one go. Some of these are over several months so the payments are large and and only bugeted for on a monthly basis.
The last one has caused a problem as they banked four months worth, that threw my account out and now I'm faced with charges.
what I want to know is anybody in the wrong here, can the bank accept post dated cheques?

If the bank doesn't spot it and pays it out, they seem to just shrug and say you shouldn't write them
