Just noticed Lost Boys is on tonight. Not seen this since a child in the 80’s. Might ht be quite atmospheric watching on this wind swept ferry in the Irish Sea.

near dark is a much better vampire movie, but lost boys is a great horror comedy. there just isnt any fun horror movies anymore, although stan against evil was an ace series in an 80's horror/evil dead styleeee

As someone said, it's the humour that makes this so good. Far better "pure" vampire films out there but comedy horror movies were done really well in the 80's. Well, ok, some like this were.😁

Well in the end I missed it as the sea was so rough the TV's went on the blink. One worth getting on Prime.

'Near Dark' is indeed one of the best, if not the best but 'Let The Right One In' (the Scandinavian original, not the 'Let Me In' US remake) is superb.

Has anyone seen it?

Don’t need a TV when you’ve got the TV guide.

The Lost Boys is great because it is funny and so very 80’s. It’s to eighties cinema what Enter the Dragon is to the seventies. A film that seems to capture the essence of the decade it was set in.

<unpopular opinion> 30 Days of Night is the best vampire film. Proper evil vampires and that great aerial tracking shot of death in the snow<unpopular opinion>
