That felt like the fastest 30 minutes of tv all year. Loved the couple of moments of genuine pathos.

I've been watching the BBC4 re-runs of season1 for the last 6 weeks or so, all good reminiscing stuff (was a tad puzzled as to why they were showing it again, but not enough to google investigate). Have seen a few ads in the last week or 2 promoting League of Gentlemen returns, but just assumed it was return to re-runs ie season2 next, not completely new stuff. Shame, don't think I'm particularly thick, so musn't have been obvious to lots of people that it was promoting completely new material.

Kids - this is what TV used to be like. Quality. Especially the hedgehog.

Just fantastic. The twins are even more terrifying.
Was it papa Lazarus on the shipping forecast? I listened to a pod cast about the new episodes and they said it was hard to bring him back on screen due to blacking up might be why they made babs so militant. And the no 9 on the door of tubs flat very good

One word: Absolutely brilliant

Loved the hedgehog scene, Pauline in the jobcentre and the overall Brexit theme 😆

No, it looks like Pamela Doove finally got the break she was waiting for:

yes, very much enjoyed the nods to former series e.g. Inside No 9 as above, also that the episode started exactly like the first series with Benjamin on a train and someone voicing what he's reading

Might have to watch it again tonight to see what other little gems I missed

What's with the photo booth? How's that going to feature?

And how did Edward and Tubbs survive? Weren't they hit by a train in series 3?

brilliant! I was a bit worried the corner shop was being too built up, and it wouldn't be good, but it was superb.

Why even now you're thinking about using a broom on my wife's second hole

had me in hysterics...

I must confess to never having watched the League of Gentlemen even though everything about it appeals to me.

I just never got round to it.

Is it available on catch up anywhere?

Really looking forward to this but the Mrs says she now wants to finally give League a go so that means having to watch the previous three series before this. Oh well, if we must...

Glad to hear it's hit the ground running, mind you, it had to to make up for the appalling ending to series three. What a way to cock it up.
