I'm a non-Psychoville viewer. I enjoyed it very much.

I've only ever caught a couple of episodes of Psychoville. I thought it was bloody brilliant, in a suitably twisted WTF?!! sort of way

Not sure last nights was one to recommend to anyone who has never seen it Psychoville before.

FTFY!

Cougar, do yourself a favour and catch up on Pyschoville as well (if you haven’t already)

Cheers. I'll put it on the list, never seen it.

I'm into season 4 of #9 now. Next up is Bernie Clifton's Dressing Room, which is one of the couple I've seen before.

3/4 of the way through and I'm thinking..... Oh no !! I don't want this nice family to get messed up by an "Inside No9 twist of horror"

No spoilers

Mother knows best

Good episode.... left with a different feeling at the end, once again.

Only just caught up on ep.2 - marvellous stuff. The Sowerbutts were Psychoville characters originally (in answer to the above). So creepy. Dave on the lampshade as a nod to League of Gentlemen as well.

Neat ending.

Tough gig, following ep2, though.

+1 to above, the little man was great.

It's TV that doesn't insult your intelligence. Actually it's better than that but you get the idea.

Just caught up, was a good one. Nice ending...
Enjoyed seeing Olly in it too. He really enjoyed the filling last year, I know they were all lovely with him.
His sister was quite put out when he got he part; she’s the acting/dancing/singing type and he prefers his football, SIL just saw an audition flyer at Nieces’ drama school and took him for it.

The idea for that one stemmed from a true event, except it was Frank Carson's dressing room. You can Google it.

sade punk yeah I know what you mean 🤔For us though it was a tale of the unexpected not the usual Inside No 9 like the total weird out of the week before. This time it brought back uncomfortable memories of problems with our son 15 odd years ago thankfully until the other night consigned to history. 🙁

For an acting debut alongside Pemberton and Shearsmith, the kid was amazing. So natural.

Worth pointing out from page1 (I just assumed Simon's link was to re watch on iplayer), but there are BBC Sounds podcast discussions after each episode from the writers.

Last night was excellent. The podcasts are a great addition to the series; they remind me of the 'Director's Commentary' that you used to get on DVDs.

I thought last nights was great however some of the events were a tad tenuous / too perfect

When you’ve got less than 30 minutes to tell a story it can’t be stretched.

I liked last nights but

I thought it was going to be a straight up Alan Bennett homage for a while.

I thought this week's was the weakest of the series. It was ok but not up to the same standard as the rest.

Thought this weeks was great, until the shot at the end where

Spoiler
all the personalities stood next to each other

I thought that was a bit obvious and unnecessary.

I said this in reference to last week's, the video diary one. Haven't seen this week's yet.

Yarp, video diaries was weakest of the series but still far from crap.

Spoiler
end shot was a bit naff though, and the narrator doing exposition of the personalities felt a bit rushed

Last nights (#6) was a good 'un.
