Like completely silent and invisible camera drones that can follow a car for a hundred miles and deliver a perfect picture in the mountains and also be armed and ready to snipe at a moment's notice.

What I was trying to say was that it's the Carrie bit I struggled to believe

Er, that didn't make sense did it! I meant - it WASN'T the Carrie side of things, that the kid would have let himself be seduced was the stupid bit...

I'd let myself be seduced by Claire Danes.

This season is a bit dafter than the last, but the first three seasons were pretty daft.

On the whole I've found it darker, especially the last few episodes. It's just that there's to much silly bollocks going on, like having a mentally unstable station chief etc.

it does smack of desperation a bit. how can we do a 4th series without Brodie? lets make it current with drone strikes, lets make it more edgy by throwing in lots of f-words, lets make it "controversial" by having the main character who is a borderline schizophrenic ball-breaking tease who wants to drown her baby and sleep with vulnerable teenagers... the latter just being a bit weird rather than controversial.

I still like it though - the last episode had me on the edge of my seat.

I do like the fact that watching women and children getting blown up by a CIA through sheer incompetence and a station chief who's lost at sea mentally, probably makes Americans feel uncomfortable.

I think they need to up the pointless circular killing and make it as horrific as possible, start killing off sympathetic characters in a matter of fact way, Band of Brothers style.

I got half way through series 2 before giving up on it. If I want to watch psychotic women for entertainment, I need look no further than my wife's family.
Looks like things haven't improved much.

Can't even remember if I watched it on Sunday! Oh, I think it was on series link.. I've gone back to catching up on The Wire though, so will probably delete it.

I must admit I groaned a bit at the end. Well groaned twice really. i've had no issues with suspending my disbelief with this season right up until the end of that show. I'll still watch it, but it's just too much of a stretch.

If you have seen episode 9, the cliff hanger lasts for two weeks before episode 10 is shown. Not sure why there is a delay, but only 3 more episodes to go.

What cliff-hanger ? She hallucinated xxxx. Do you think they are going to go all scooby-doo ending on us, and the ****stani secret service guy is really xxxx in a rubber mask ? (I guess he does have the RADA accent) Not as ludicrous as some of the plot devices in this show !

Ah fair enough. I still like the Scooby Doo ending idea.

Or, we could have the Mary Fisher (She Devil - Fay Weldon) ending, where Carrie has plastic surgery and gender re-assignment and turns herself into Brodie.

I should write these shows.

I love Homeland. Yes the show is unbelievable and ridiculous, but that is half the fun. If you want gritty realism you are watching the wrong show.

Blimey, took about 8 episodes but this series suddenly got good. Shame it's just about to end.

Two more episodes according to Wikipedia, "Big Man in Tehran" (11) and "The Star" (12).

But so many holes............. sending "all" the marines out, not Logharts call, they are there to protect the embassy. Dead rentina scan? but no passward?
As for the vault scene. Just turn the TV off. Why didn't they kill Loghart the moment he stepped out. he is the head of the CIA.

Bonkers. Yes i was made to watch it.
