Mrs D's FR45 arrived yesterday - super service and she's very happy with it. Prefers the shape and size (and colour) to the FR35 so all good.

We had ours delivered wife loves her Vivoactive 3, now I have tried to go down to 6 Pro from a 5x. I was not aware of the size difference I love the x I was not even after a 6. Now I am going to have to spend more than I wanted after seeing the 6's.

Yes, it's Garmin's own refurb site.

Thanks @Oldtennishoes.  No 4s though, but despite that I decided my Instinct will do fine & stuck the 4s money in an ISA 🙂

Same for me😥

I only wanted a 130, nothing exciting. Don't know what the stock levels are like, but Amazon didn't have any the other day when I looked.

I ordered on Wednesday and at lunchtime yesterday, the Garmin site said delivery estimated for today...UPS tracking is saying that the only thing done (at present) is a label has been printed...so I'm not sure when it will arrive but I'm really hoping it is today!

@DickBarton

Mine arrived the day after it was estimated from Garmin. Basically if you go to the UPS site and it says the label has been printed it's just a message from Garmin telling them they'll be getting this label, attached to something. Until they receive it they can't do anything with it.

Cheers, that is what I was thinking...mildly annoying as I was getting all excited about a new toy to sort out tonight. It'll be here when it arrives and all that, but like everyone else who orders online, I'm impatience for it to get here!!!

Well I’m still waiting for mine (ordered off Amazon before this PSA)

Ordered 13th
Shipped (And shows as dispatched) 14th
Arrived and departed Amazon in France 15th
Package delayed in transit 20th
Yesterday morning get an email to say sorry for delay package will be delivered 21st or 22nd, if not I can ask for a refund
Today still showing as dispatched (And not out for delivery)

What are my chances of it turning up today? I don’t want a refund (because prices now gone up on Amazon and this deal isn’t valid anymore) I just want my chuffin watch I’ve ordered

I’ve also had 2 other items (not Garmin, Ordered yesterday) that were due for delivery today be cancelled as apparently they’ve been damaged in transit

Grr

Do you not know anyone who has a BlueLightCard?

Hmmm...well this is all very tempting. I’m struggling between the Vivoactive 4 for £179 vs Forerunner 245 (not the music one) for £7 less. Both are good deals and whilst the V4 has music, I’m dubious about the longevity/useability of the touch screen; on the other hand the 245 buttons means less to go wrong but I’m unlikely to use all of the advanced running features.

What to do?! 🤷🏻‍♂️

I ordered an 830 on Tuesday and it just says order confirmed on the Garmin website (and they’ve not charged my card yet) - but if you go back to the purchase process, it now says 2-3 weeks delivery.

I've just received my Forerunner 45 and was hoping to set it up with distance in miles and temp in C but I'm struggling.

The watch only has Statute and Metric options. There is no Statute UK. The Garmin Connect app has Statute UK for the app settings but nothing I can sync to the watch it seems.

Should the watch have Statute UK as a unit option?

Thanks

Yes you can go to settings on the watch or the Garmin App to change them.

That's the problem Drac. Watch only has Statute or Metric options, no Statute UK.

App settings for watch only have Distance, not Units option like the watch. Setting Distance = miles changed temp to F on the watch.

The General App settings has Statute UK but this is just for the app and not the watch.

My Vivoactive 3 allows you to set it in the watch. Setting -> System -> Units

The temp readings are useless anyway IMHO.

Think I need to email Garmin. On the watch under Setting - System - Units its not there, only Statute and Metric.

@Old... There's no inbuilt temp sensor on the 45... It gets the weather from your phone via Bluetooth so was hoping it would be reasonably accurate.

Ahh of course, sorry I hadn’t considered the weather forecast.

I bought a forerunner 35 under the deal for £70 before realising you can't seem to get replacement straps that aren't rubber/silicon. I'm allergic to something in the standard straps so always change.

Not even opened the box, anyone want to buy it for the same price before I send it back for a refund? Think they are back up to 90 now.

Thanks

Simon

2 weeks after I placed my original order, after numerous contacts with amazon my watch has arrived. (Well it’s my second ordered watch, my original order is lost in Amazon’s system somewhere

Time to lose a whole afternoon playing with it (then I’ll take a look at the watch etc etc)

I’d been weighing up getting one of the watches when this was first posted, but decided against it as I thought I don’t really need one but after spending 15 minutes looking for my Garmin Edge on Sunday, I decided to go for it as I’m always forgetting where I left it or forgetting to charge it.
I still had the tab open on my browser from a week or so ago and it still showed the Fenix 5X for £330 so I tried my luck to see if it would work. Just received shipment notification from Garmin, so well pleased with that.
Anyone want an Edge 130 HR bundle or an Apple Watch series 3? 😀
