I was with someone else but unknown to me they were bought out as a result of which I'm with Kwik fit. I've had to use them once for a defunct battery, a local garage came within 40 mins, got me started, pointed me in the direction of the best place to get a new one (not them incidentally) and then were on their way again, no hassles. While not over happy that i was passed on without seemingly being told, I couldn't fault the service I got and looking into it, it seems that Kwik Fit are only a branding, the actual breakdown cover is through Call Assist http://www.call-assist.co.uk/. So while you might use someone else, there's a fair chance you might be on Call Assist anyway.

If you're basing the choice on the service you got (or didn't) at a Kwik Fit tyre or exhaust place - that might not be relevant here.

Yep 100% because of the branding - who says advertising doesn't work?

I'd rather peel my own knob than rely on these plebs when stranded by the side of a road.

My wife had an accident a while back whilst insured with Kwik Fit and "their" breakdown cover was included. When I arrived at the accident nearly an hour later their was no sign of the Kwik Fit recovery. As my wife was freezing cold and quite shaken I had my brother who'd come out with me drive her home. When he returned Kwik Fit still hadn't arrived. Numerous phone calls told me the recovery was just a few miles away each time. After 4 hours I gave up and hooked the car up to mine and we dragged it back home. We got a call the next day from Kwik Fit saying the recovery driver is where the accident happened but can't find the car. Needless to say the repairs to her car went just as badly.
