Currently £62 on Amazon, they usually hover around the £90 mark

yep been waiting for them to come cheap for a while and was tempted by them being £82 (their normal cheapish price) earlier in the week but this was too good to pass up.

Basically what used to be a Brasher boot, work best if you have wide, high volume feet.

Tempted to get some so I don't wear my trusty Zamberlans out walking the dog over winter.

Are they like a normal 3-season hiking boot or a bit lighter/flexier?

Would you go normal shoe size and expect them to fit with a thick sock?

Thanks, OP; ordered. Will now have an improvement on the current rambling options of old tennis shoes, converse or wellies.

Cha****ng, there definitely on the lighter/flexier end of the market, when I was looking for some proper mid-winter walking boot I went for something more substantial but liked these enough I've had them in my amazon basket waiting for the right price. I have gone for a 9.5 but I'd normally expect to buy a 10 (46 in cycling shoes), though I think I may have started shrinking! So normal size with thick socks should be fine or just buy a couple of sizes and just return the one that don't fit (my hermes drop off returns are dead easy)

cheers zippy, is it free returns then? (sorry for being lazy)

I was gonna get 9.5 as that's my normal size and a review suggests they are roomy

Bugger! The size 12s are £89.  Not a must buy. £62 I'd have been tempted.

umm, I'm assuming so, I returned something to amazon over the weekend, and it was a my hermes drop off option.. I  am assuming this will be the same for everything but don't definitely know.

Large volume and quite wide (you might need to size down); built to be robust, but attention to detail is lacking (check the interior stitching); easy to clean; fairly stiff; low back annoys some people (I don't actually see the point); good value at that price.

If they're wide and high volume then won't that be very different to the fit of a Zamberlan? I have bought boots/shoes that only fit ok in the past and have always regretted it!

We'll see. My feet are reasonably wide.

I have these, and some Zamberlans at the moment (amongst many others).  Yes, fit is very different, but they both work for me just fine (just get the size right).

Bizarre the 12’s are more expensive, especially as the 11.5’s are the cheaper price.

also would have been tempted at the price

Good PSA - need some new boots to replace my original Brasher Supalites, annoyingly though I need a size 12!
