My 15 year old daughter designed the helmet worn by the Red Arrows leader today for the RAF’s 100th anniversary. Her work was selected from among 7500 entries to Blue Peter, and while I can’t yet disclose everything she has been treated to by the programme and the RAF, she has enjoyed a fantastic time over the last few weeks, and been given opportunities she could never have imagined before.

Very cool 😎, well done her.

I imagine a career in the RAF will now be appropriate?😉

Isn't 15 a bit too old for Blue Peter?

😉

Well done Miss SaxonRider 😀

That’s really cool. I hope the design involved sticky backed plastic, an empty washing up bottle and a convenient second helmet that was made earlier.

Marvellous. Sounds like she had a great treat.

Wow, very cool.

Love the design.

If not a career with the RAF, maybe a career at Troy Lee Designs.

Impressive. Did she get a Blue Peter badge?

Always thought it would be cool to have one but never applied myself enough in anything

Well done to your daughter saxon. I must say whilst listening to some deep drum and bass, that the design is smart as f***!
