Max Clifford arrested in sex offences investigation
Max Clifford, one of the UK's leading public relations experts, has been arrested by detectives investigating historic sex offences.
the 'previous victims' that want to get some publicity/cash are going to be stuck for someone to call, aren't they.
I don't think that is proof, but a good start.
If Ed <scuzzbucket> Balls is caught up to his tatties in a choirboy today it would round the day off nicely though.
feels like a movie
the "end bit" when the godfather kills all his enemies in one go.
BBC get further weekend by newsnight stuff,Levenson report is published - government don't pass any new laws, Clifford (who has presumably pissed a few people off in his time) gets his reputation trashed
Hugh Grant should be watching his back right now
Interesting twist.
The Defender becomes the defendant.
I'll bet there's a nice bottle of champagne being popped in this household tonight:
More time off? when it's under such intense scrutiny too, brass necks the lot of them!BBC get further weekend
ps when is it Noel Edmonds' turn in the Nonce Bingo spotlight?
Streuth!
Use to see him often having a coffee in Weybridge while on the phone, always on the phone...
I'm struggling to believe its anything child-related, based upon his experiences - but then I was surprised about Hall.

Be fair on the man he only killed his guests not fondled them
I was trying to work out what the big, red dog had done wrong
Christine Hamilton once pinched my bum at a charity function whilst I chatted with her husband Neil.
Should I get her arrested? 😉
Didn't he murder elephants too?
ill post this again, the guy is brazen about it
surprisingly 😉 no papers have run with this story despite the video being online for a while
any money on brucie being next?
if god really did exist piers morgan would be found out next

Just what I was thinking.

The choirboy would probably disagree

Interesting. Given what we've seen of the Hamiltons, are you male or female Shib?
I hope you bleached your buttcheek when you got home!
I think we have to accept that in the 60's they were all at it. Either arrest everone who was a celeb back then or call it a day.

You lucky sod ,She's dreamy 😛

Oh please let it be true....
I think Dobbo crossed the line, even for this thread.
you guys should be careful spouting who should be next or who you think is going to be next...its called slander and could end you up in court...

I'm all man. She's actually a very attractive woman in real life, charismatic, gregarious, sharp as a tack and very entertaining!
Do you fink jade goody is currently one of his victims?
+1 for Noel Edmunds. Does his little beard get darker every year?
I think Dobbo crossed the line, even for this thread.
Amazed it's still there.
The post, not the semen beard.
Given some of the posts on this thread. I have no useful contribution to make.
I see the shadow of the ban hammer getting longer over this thread
Its not technically slander if its an individuals opinion without a categorical statement without evidence or with malicious intent.

libel.
libel.
permanent form = libel.
non-permanent (e.g. spoken) = slander.
Forum/bulletin board postings etc. are considered permanent, hence = libel.
okay cool...at least I've not said a bad word (smug mode)
And what about Mr Tumble.
Here is a cross dressing man with a numerous personality disorder. Who grooms disabled and vulnerable children by befriending the family then taking their childrens photo and storing said pictures on his computer. And creates a legitimate alibi by filming it for a TV show.!!!
Give it 20 years before all the grown up victims start coming forward.
if god really did exist piers morgan would not [s]be found out next[/s]
fixed that for you
Libel, slander??
No smoke without friction! !!
you guys should be careful spouting who should be next or who you think is going to be next
Nah, thread's not even made it to page 1 of Google yet.
...funny how this post went quiet as soon as slander/libel got mentioned ! keep an ear out for that knock on the door guys !
just messing ! sleep well....
I lol'd at brakes post. Sadly, I have to agree, rather. As far as Clifford is concerned, it couldn't happen to a nicer bloke...

Really, Piers Morgan, Tony Blair, George W Bush.....

Dunno, Clifford pursued some people as a hobby, eg the Hamiltons. 4am arrest on fake rape charges, both set up by him. That's not to say I wouldn't like the above to be accused of something serious, just prefer it to not involve sexual assault of some description.

This is actually the scummiest thing said on this whole thread.
There was a crowd outside his house chanting insults and burning effigies, when the reporter asked if it was an appropriate response to the allegations in the press, the man responded with "What allegations? 😀
So there's no such thing as bad publicity right?
I'm a bit concerned about libel too, but I [s]don't[/s] think that Noel Edmonds is definitely next.
Any legal experts in who can confirm the legal position on struck through text? 😯
Outstanding:
The police were looking into it. The fact that after three months' investigation they decided to bring the Hamiltons in - you make your own conclusions.
would tend to suggest that the police believe there is something in all this because they have been working on it for a few months
So you know, you make up your own minds and the public will. All I would say is that when it comes to judging who's telling the truth I totally believe what the young lady told me. The police obviously believe there is something in it they wouldn't have spent all this time investigating.
Max Clifford, 2001
😳
Max Clifford is a bit of a scumbag, true, but in the spirit of fairness, the whole Hamiltons affair just shows that people can be arrested for things when - in time and in retrospect - it turns out that there is no credible evidence of any wrongdoing. It's also worth remembering that Clifford was a significant figure in the phone hacking scandal and had his phone hacked by members of the police-PI-media milieu).
(And, before we start feeling too sorry for the Hamiltons - he was completely corrupt in taking kickbacks from oil companies in return for political influence, so eff him and his wife).

Hate to raise the issue of justice now that all mentioned here have been judged and found wanting, but just in case no one noticed the last chap to be so positivily identified as a "person of interest" is now sitting on a six figure sum. It would be perhaps one of the reasons our great land has gone to the dogs, because we now ascribe the justice of the pub to everyone - people in glass houses an all that. But hey! Im ok theyll never find out its me, will they?
the last chap to be so positivily identified as a "person of interest" is now sitting on a six figure sum.
That's not accurate.
McAlpine was accused by journalists of being a paedophile, which is not true; it was never suggested he was a person of interest to a police inquiry. Clifford has been arrested in connection with alleged sex offences, which is true (it is true that he was arrested, it is true that allegations of sex offences have been made).
