Does it give a reason? Are you signed in; authorised?

Yes I'm signed in and everything is there. When I click on a track a box comes up that says this song cannot be played because the original file could not be found.

Do your tracks have exclamation marks next to them?

It's forgotten where your music library is. Find it on your hard drive and drag it into iTunes.
(That's what I did, someone else might have a quicker solution)

Yeah, whatever you did to mess it up.... do the opposite.

It doesn't just change the location of your library for fun. have you moved stuff, added a disk, changed a setting...?

Windows machine or Mac?
On windows, close iTunes. Hold down shift key as you re-open iTunes show it where the library file is in the ensuing dialog.

On a Mac hold down the option key as you start iTunes to do the same thing.

You will need to navigate to the folder that contains the iTunes Library.xml file so find it first before starting iTunes.

I have a problem with iTunes too. Downloaded an update (on pc) for it after ignoring the update thingy for months/years - 154MB (ONE HUNDRED AND FIFTY FOUR MEGABYTES) bloody nora, that's massive.

Only if you've got 64Mb of RAM, and an 8Gb HDD.

Was my Pentium joke too subtle/nerdy?
