Hi all having trouble installing a driver for my old Lexmark X1150 all in one printer on my new windows 7 PC. Checked lexmark site for latest driver and it recomends using the Vista driver. Computer says NO! No compatible driver found so no printing. Anyone no a fix?
Hmm thats tough
Windows 7 has loads of drivers built in but if your printer is missing then you'll need a 64 bit driver.(you did just try plugging it in and letting windows 7 sort it ou)
You can probably use the printer in virtual XP mode which is a free download if you have a high enough version (rofessional or home ultimate I think). This means I can use an old but good slide scanner.
Have you tried turning it off and turning it back on again?
As it came out over three years before Vista, you're lucky there's a driver for it at all. Give it away to someone still on XP and buy another.
