I doubt I'm alone in thinking all your contributions so far fall into the same category.bikebouy - MemberBut the Volvo isn't pretty, so the thread is null and void.
That 4c looks alright from the side, pity about the trypophobic headlights and them not bothering to find somewhere to put a front licence plate so stuck it on with blutack.
Still for sale:

No no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no!
@JHJ, that was what I was thinking too, definite legnumishness. Estates basically can't be that pretty so you've got to go for brutal elegance and presence.
Hoping the new Mazda 5 RF is as pretty in the flesh as it seems in the pictures I've seen...
The interior of that Volvo is a festival of beige.....
We're not getting any younger. Go on, embrace the beige!
Annnnd, yes, those that criticise the posts I made fail to post anything.. 🙄
Off you go, prove me wrong with your choices.
+1
I like old 911s with the thin pillars and small wheels...new Porsche's are grim!
Modern cars are bland.Daytona's and 911s win the thread.
Countzero why do you think that because your mate has "taste" then any car he likes is beautiful as a fact? Nonsense.
I didn't actually say that, he has taste regarding a bunch of cars he owns, like a very early racing Aston Martin, a racing D-Type Jag, a lovely vintage blower Bentley; the yellow Ferrari, while imposing as a proper racing car, that he races along with his wife, is not a particularly attractive car, to my eyes.
In fact, I don't think Ferrari have produced a good looking car since the 250 GTO and the little Dino.
And he most certainly isn't 'my mate', he's someone who lives locally, has a shitload of very interesting cars, and I've met him once.
And your comment about modern cars being bland, is either disingenuous or just daft; modern cars are showing some of the best styling, at least in regular production cars, in many, many years, the likes of Citroen are building cars which are distinctive and have real flair, go back ten years and most cars were bland and uninspiring.
The current Astra is one of the best looking Vauxhalls in decades, not that that's a difficult thing to do, quite honestly.
Those Renaults with the fat behinds were pretty horrible as well.
The new MX-5 is anything but bland, it's a stunning little car.
All in my humble opinion, of course! 😉
Hooli wins, hands down.
That is truely a thing of beauty.
The Cobra is many things, not that pretty though; too many bolted on bits.
The Audi R8 isn't pretty; it's too long. Audi know this, that's why they paint the awkward bit in the middle a different colour.
That Fiat 124 Abarth is a really pretty thing; I had no idea they were making one again. Much prettier than the new MX5 which looks miserable.
I saw one of the Merc GTS this week, at a customers premises.
Not seen one before, it is really nice in the flesh not as nice as the new Porsche though.
Also another chap came in this week with one of his four AC's on a trailer, just been re sprayed, it did look pretty.

The one pictured has chrome side pipes, chrome roll hoops, chrome bumpers and chrome kick plates. Those parts need not be there, and they certainly don't need to be chrome. The Cobra is an iconic car and not half bad looking. Some are ott though.

If it was too long they would have painted the intakes the same colour. Having them contrast breaks up the profile and accentuates the rear haunches of the car. You can spec them black, carbon or body coloured iirc. It's a moot point anyway since the R8 is the same length as a 911, 6 cm longer than a Cayman. It's not a long car, unless a Smart car is the benchmark.

It looks like an MX5 with a body kit. And not in a good way.
Having opinions is fun.
