My Acer laptop for work just did an update. And I now have black screen of "no bootable device - please restart system" showing. Arse - mainly as our I did not back up last three days work to our server....:(
Any advice?

No cd, it created some kind of partition to recover from when first stared up...i

if you have access to another windows pc you can burn one (or a usb stick) from there and boot up.
would let you copy off your data before you try anything else.
