Being that I’m now old, I’ve really got into listening to podcasts on long car journeys rather than the normal Spotify/radio 6/radio 1 noise fest.

Ive done most of the Vitalmtb inside lines which are really good (especially the one with John hall, Aaron gwinn’s mechanic) but just wondering if anyone has any other suggestions?

Doesn’t necessarily have to be on bikes, just something engaging (although not too engaging!) that’ll interest me whilst I sit in the car park that is the M25...

I am addicted to the Radio X Elis James & John Robins podcast. I’ve started from the beginning and can easily sit through 6 episodes in a row in the car.

They are basically a pair of music loving comedians and it’s properly funny.

There's a bit of a list rom the last time I responded to this here:  https://singletrackworld.com/forum/topic/podcast-recommendations-1/

But since then I'll add:

All Killa No Filla: It's about serial killers but like a lot of these things ends up being two people chatting shit.

Unfiltered with James O'Brien: Hour long interviews.

The Wire Stripped: Episode by episode discussion on the TV show the Wire (not worth it if you've not seen the show)

Remainiacs: Weekly politics podcast focussing on the Brexit negotiations, very much from a remainers perspective. Surprisingly funny at times.

A couple more that I enjoy:

Radio 2's Confessions Podcast

The Outside Podcast has some interesting stories

Desert Islands discs (but mainly when I'm interested in the guest).

A good one I've discovered recently is The Habitat, follows a group in the HI-Seas experiment (testing setups/data gathering to understand how we'd cope on Mars). I put off listening to it as I didn't feel in the mood, but once I'd started I went through them all in an afternoon.

+1 for Remainiacs, I could listen to Ian Dunt wax lyrical all day, they have me in stitches most weeks.

Also Pod Save America, 4 painfully clever former Obama staffers deconstructing the current state of America, sometimes a bit preachy but also very funny and always informative.

+1 for Dan Carlin's Hardcore History series it is  fantastic. Start with Blueprint for Armageddon about the 1st world war.

The Bugle (Andy Zolttzman) is quite a bit like the Now  Show

KEXP for good new music

Does this mean I'm old? 🙁

I listen to a couple of bike ones mentioned but others:

Talk Nerdy (not tech, science and scepticism)

Sceptics guide to the universe (one of the hosts also hosts the above)

Stuff you should know (loads of interesting stuff on this one)

Cortex (productivity with a tech leaning)

----- tech ones begin here

Droid life (Android)

.NET rocks (all sorts of programmery stuff)

Accidental Tech Podcast (tech with focus on Apple)

Go time (this is probably pretty niche, it's about Golang)

Node up (Node.js)
