I love Britain. This Green and pleasant land.
So many of the places mentioned above are amazing- breathtakingly wonderful.
I'd also add:
Moussa.
Skomer marine nature reserve.
A walk along the South Bank.
Cardiff on an International Day.
Isles of Scilly. Like a little bit of the maldives just off cornwall. Cant beat fishing for mackerel then barbecuing them on your own island* watching the sun go down. Or eating the worlds best pasties and drinking beer above the little stone quay on St Agnes.
*its only yours for the evening, its good to share
Surfing with the one you love at Polzeath on a stormy winter afternoon, just as the clouds all part when the sun is setting giving a contrast of blue sky & sea, white clouds and foam, and looming dark clouds.
The Northumberland coast from Alnmouth to Ross is just fantastic. On a quiet day, Bamburgh beach is my idea of perfection - tucked into the dunes out of the wind, in a little bubble of calm, with just the distant waves to break the silence...

Stonehenge will be great if they ever sort out the road, and let people near it. Avebury is much better though IMO.

Stonehenge isn't so mystical and interesting when you drive past it twice a day on the way to work for a few months. Particularly in the summer when it's at walking pace! About time they put the roof on it too.

There are parts of the Northern Highlands of Scotland I'd like to explore, north of Inverness and north of Torridon.
Ross Beach (between Bamburgh & Holy Island)...but don't tell anyone!

...and I quite like it down here in the Malverns.
Anywhere North of the central belt is pish. Try Wrexham. Great Yarmouth is nice too.
Walk across the Millenium Bridge and go into the Tate Modern
Ludlow - medieval architecture
Stamford - England's best stone town
Crickhowell for a pint outside The Bear
Soho - pint in the Coach and Horses and eat in the Gay Hussar
walk the SW coast path from Tinagel to Bude - Fab.
North Norlolk deserted beaches - BIG skys, wonderful birdlife, seals
canoe the river wye for a section on a sunny June day
is it fair to say as a control that all these places are impressing despite the weather? ive had some cracking nice sunny days out but in some fairly mediocre places....
Though my heart's also in the NW Highlands, the [url= http://www.jupiterartland.org/ ]Jupiter Artland[/url] installations just west of Edinburgh are worth a visit -

But seriously, Port Meirion, The view from Harlech towards Criccieth and the Lleyn peninsula, the panorama walk Barmouth....
All the places I know which are special, and therefore out of bounds to anyone else.
Why the **** do you want to advertise nice places for everyone to come along and spoil them ?
