Can someone add Benedict Cumberbatch and some cucumbers please?

There was a thread a while back about this and I thought it was rather amusing 🙂

Thanks in advance 🙂

Given earlier discussion in the thread, I'm disappointed nobody has 'shopped the OP riding through the middle of the puddle. Can somebody please do that one for me, as my skills are nowhere near good enough?

Though I think James Fridman's response to the OP's request would have been to remove the person on the right hand side of the trail...

I can't do photoshop so i took a different approach.

I contacted the photographer and asked for the shot immediately prior. I set a trap. If you back and refresh you should be happy with the results.

In honesty, that was my first thought also, removing the person "on the right" from the point of view of the people in the photo.

Serious question - how are people downloading the pic to mess around with it?

demonracer - fantastic, thank you very much 🙂

Cougar - that video is superb, I never knew cats hated cucumbers so much.

Think I might get a cat.

And some cucumbers.

aracer - the image src is in the page markup. You can use developer tools in Chrome, for example, to highlight the element in the page to inspect it.

Easiest way is just to drag the image to the address bar.

Well I've worked in IT for over 20 years and didn't know you could do that (drag it to address bar)... not that it's something I need to do often and chances are I'll forget by the time I next need an image source quickly but hey it's not even 7:30am and I've learnt something today :p

Ewwww! Drag it the address bar?

Drag it straight into your photo software of choice cut out the middleman.

Cougar - that video is superb, I never knew cats hated cucumbers so much.

Errrrr!

True Drac.

Address bar has the advantage that you can see the original source address, which is useful for hotlinking and also sometimes lets you access higher res images (e.g. a lot of sites resize on the fly and have stuff like ?x640&y480 after the address).

Plus it just lets you get a look at the image before firing up your image editor.

Chrome also has 'copy image location' in the right-click menu.

That's what I did (though my photoshop skills aren't up to bothering to submit anything), but assumed there must be an easier way - and indeed there is, thanks for the drag suggestion, that's also something I didn't know about, despite even having worked with web pages and browsers.

@molgrips - if I had a right click menu I could just select "save as" as normal, but some sneaky web page designers disable the right click menu to stop you doing that...

Quite often watermarked images on sites like this don't let you do the drag thing (or right-click, save as) as they have tried to make it deliberately difficult.
In these cases you have to inspect the code as someone mentioned and find the image path in there.

This one isn't like that though. They've disabled right-click, but the image is still available to drag.

Mike @ Racing Snakes has done the voodoo hoodoo and i'm now up there alone with the erosion 🙂

Keep 'em coming, i'm quite liking being in the peloton on the Champs Elysees in front of Froome 😀

The unintended/intended consequences of not going around the puddle:

(next time can the OP pay the flippin £5.99 first so we don't have to mess about with watermarks!)
