just wondering if it's worth claiming on our pet insurance, poor Mabel slipped whilst trying to jump onto a chair this morning and twisted her knee (hock?). Anyhoo, just picked her up from the vets, no ligament or boney injury (phew!) after x-rays, examination under sedation. Vets bill was just over £130. Mabel's insurance has as excess of £90.
I'm reluctant to claim for the £40 for fear of being screwed when we renew the policy. I'm sure they'll get their money back and then some.
Just thinking of the future. What do you think?
Mabel's fine by the way, still whacked off her tits on the sedation.
Ah, hope she's ok.
For the sake of forty squid, I'd probably leave it.
Most importantly, she's fine and you're probably relieved. 🙂
i would leave it tbh, the insurance is there for the 2k operation you hope you never need.
Probably leave it for £40, but the insurance doesn't go up that much.
Our cat was run over last year just before our wedding. She needed facial reconstruction and 2 lots of dental work, so there was no question it was getting claimed on the insurance. Premiums went up from £4.something to £5.something a month. Hardly going to break the bank.
Cheers guys, just going to leave it.
