Hi all,
The old Pajero's looking and acting a bit tired now, I need a 7 seater to carry the wife and our 5 kids about, but whats best?
A newer Shogun or a people carrier?
I like the look of the Grand Espace but they are a bit pricey, erring towards the VW Sharan?
Petrol or Diesel it doesnt matter I only do 5-6k a year milo wise . . .

I've not done any research to back this up, but going on the usual assumption that the VW badge commands a premium, I'd suggest theirs is the least value for money version of the Sharalhambraxy trio.

The V6 Sharans use an horrendous amount of fuel. Diesels are good. I think we had a 2.3? petrol Galaxy and that was wallet crushing to fill up too. My brother has had 2 diesels Sharans now as well and is happy with his. Seat Alhambra is the same car also.

45mpg from our Toyota Verso D4D.
Think early ones are now around 4k.
No boot though with 6/7 seats in play.
