No snow as yet, but the temp is about 2 or 3 degrees and the wind is making it feel like -2. Showery, and very wet under foot.

A boggy, cold wet mess, basically.

I'll stay mainly rocky but the 'fear' is the cold and rain to come today turns to snow. A few weeks ago Glossop and Sheffield way were sunny/clear and Snake was a blizzard!

Was out that way on Monday. No snow. If you pick the rocky options then there's plenty of fun to be had. We went up the roman road from Hope which was wet but fine. Hope cross has the obvious pools, down the beast which gets sticky towards the bottom. Hoggs farm was ok, as was the other decent from the top of there (don't know what to call it but heads east from the top of hoggs). We got lucky and had no rain all day.

Is that descent what used to be called "The Screaming Mile"?
(Hoggs Farm is actually Hagg Farm, I think)
