hi, pretty much the title. bought 2 items off amazon on thursday evening. paid the extra for next day as i needed them saturday evening. being in n.ireland i never expected them on the friday as im well used to getting screwed over here with online sales. at the least i expected them by saturday afternoon/early evening. they never showed and expect them to come tomorrow, which is pretty much into free delivery territory. can i claim back charges or rant? the cost of delivery is £11

I appreciate this is a left-field suggestion but, have you tried contacting Amazon?

Next working day if ordered by cutoff of 3pm isn't it? So next working day from Friday is Monday?

'Next day' is usually next working day. So the next working day from Thursday night is Monday. Saturday delivery is premium option in its own right really so I wouldn't expect a delayed Friday delivery on a saturday

Full postage refund ...although it doesn't make up for not receiving the product when expected, I would push it further I work for the online side of a retail business any ND missed are immediately refunded postage also any screamers are pacified with 10%/20% discount of the next order

Couple of things.

1. Was this from Amazon direct or a reseller? If Amazon, then go to point 2. If reseller, then you'll have to take it up with them.

2. What Cougar said. Contact Amazon.

3. If it was from Amazon, did it say the item would come next day?
For example?

...as it is possible to pay for expedited delivery, but the timescale could be longer.

Amazon Prime is awesome, watched my brother order something at 8pm Saturday and it arrived at 10am Sunday. Shame I don't buy enough to justify it.

You'd need to look at the t&cs as to what the deal is with deliveries to your postcode. Also was it an order from Amazon themselves or another retailer using Amazon's website. Amazon themselves process orders day and night, but another Amazon sellers won't nessasarily see an order made in the evening til the next working day and usually don't dispatch til near the end of that day

Happened to me the other month, I sent a message 10 minutes later I was refunded.

Prime seems a complete waste of cash most thing I've ordered arrive the next day regardless.

It does seem to depend on where you live. Prime works out better for me in the Scottish Highlands.

Easily justified if you use/want Amazon Prine TV. 50p a month extra (iirc) and you get delivery, Kindle Lending Library, Amazon Music (admittedly no Spotify) and some other stuff too
