I currently have no contract of employment where I work, despite working here for 10+ years! Most of the terms are implied, however I now need paternity leave in July. Does not having a contract affect this in any way? Am I entitled to full pay or SPP?
If you have nothing to the contrary in writing then the legal minimum would be my guess.

I also believe it's illegal for an employer not to issue a contract of employment within 3 months of your start date.
Are you a contractor or staff?
Staff in a professional practice.
All the staff here have notified the employers that they're breaking the law, gets brushed under the carpet!

unprofessional practice.
Just tell them you'll assume you're on 6 months notice unless they tell you other wise by way of an employment contract ๐
I say professional practice, some of the stuff here is beyond belief!
Speaking to ACAS we're in a strong position though on a number of items.
I'll try and give ACAS another call in the next few days.
You're entitled to statutory, although it's likely that your employer already has a policy one way or the other.
If your employer is likely to be difficult, you should make sure that you know your rights and obligations, particularly that you need to request your leave 15 weeks before the due date. More info here:

Has anyone else in your company been paid paternity in the last year or two?
What did they get?
No, that is the problem, it's a small company and it's the first occurrence in the time I have been here.
I have notified them in accordance with employment law, as pdw points out.
