I don't get on with paste the wall paper but my daughter has just chosen some for her room which is just that. I assume I don't *NEED* to paste the wall and I can paste the paper in the normal way? Are there any tips, tricks or hints or can I just crack on like any other ordinary paper?

Cheers

TBH it's been a while since my Dad (RIP) had his anaglypta wallpaper fetish, but yes we always pasted the wall and paper.. maybe it's moved on since then? Or is "paste the wall paper" some new weird and wonderful type of wall paper?

It isn't particularly new and it isn't pre-pasted either - it's a lightweight paper that doesn't require pre-soaking so the wall can be pasted to make it (in theory) easier. I did one room in it and hated it (and all the edges ended up lifting).

You can do it the normal way.

It's easy to use if you prep the surface first. I like to coat the walls with zinsser Gardz first as it stops the paste from soaking in too fast.
You can paste the paper if you prefer but it is so much quicker to paste the wall.
I use a roller for even faster pasting, as a bonus it cuts very well with a snap off blade knife but you will need one of those wallpaper tool/spatula thingies to hold it down when cutting

I used some, just did it the standard way, tried a few lengths pasting the wall, but didn’t see any benefit.
