Dull thread but I've seen people ask in the past.
Anyway, applied online on October 26th and new passport arrived today.
Eight days! Didn't rush to send the old one either, could easily have been turned round in a week.

I just used the online renewal system last week and got mine within 6 days. Apart from the cost, I can't fault the system.
